Those who are led by the Lord have no greater desire than to perform good works, and that nothing is further from their thought than the earning of merit through them. The new will which the Lord confers on those who are being regenerated brings this attitude of mind with it; for this new will is the Lord's residing with a person. (AC 6392)
A man is in enlightment when he is in the love of truth for the sake of truth, and not for the sake of self and the world. (AC 9424)
Nothing therefore is of more importance to a man than to know what is true... What should a man have more at heart than his life to eternity? (A.C. 794)
